Thanks For The Memories 2015!

2015 has been filled with so much happiness.
Don't get me wrong, it had its moments - some ups & downs- but ultimately there was too much good that surrounded us to not remember this year as a year of joy. .

New discoveries were made, about who we are as a family.
About what is important to us.

We celebrated Caroline's 1st birthday and she started walking. We moved & bought our first house in Fairhope. Found out we are adding another little girl to the family. Caroline started her education journey with nursery school. Joseph relocated to a new store which is minutes from the house. I celebrated my 1st year with Disney. We had our 2nd wedding anniversary. We've made new friends & gotten even closer with some family members. Went went on trips, made new traditions and grew as a family.

My list could go on for days about all the things that happened in 2015.
I'd rather just share some of my favorite memories with you though :)
Get ready... & let's rewind through the year!

Every photo brings a smile to my face & reminds me of the great memory that they now represent.

2015 - you've been wonderful & I'll never forget you. Thank you for helping me grow into the wife & mother that I'm proud to be. I know I'm still learning but this year has really opened my eyes. I've learned a lot and plan to use what I've learned to continue to better myself as a person and grow our family as a unit.

2016 - I can't wait to see what you have in store for us! Here come the Turner's :) + one more.

Mini Post: Day Trip

Today Caroline & I went to Niceville for the day.
It wasn't for anything special, it was a just because kind of trip.

We left in the morning and got there in time for some yummy lunch my mom cooked up for everyone.
Prime. Rib. Sandwiches.& parsley potatoes! my mouth is watering just thinking about it again.
Did you know my mom is a chef. Not really. But we've been bombarding her with some business ideas forever to get her to spread her magical food to the community.
It would be a blessing to them. ;)

We spent time together and ran some errands.
We went on base & out to Destin.
I got Caroline her first pair of TOMs. They're pretty cute.
She doesn't know yet just how stylish she is. But everyone else does :D
Matt got some spiffy new attire too.
His New Years Eve wardrobe is pretty dapper. Can't wait to see pictures!

The weather was horrendous. Just plain awful.
Prior to today I had said if the weather was bad that I wouldn't be making the trip.
Well, clearly I still went.

I don't know why - or what's different but I've really been missing my family lately.
It's so nice just to be able to hang out and spend time with them instead of having a million and one things to do while we're together.

I miss living 20 minutes away from them.
But I won't complain about my hours and 45 minutes.
[It used to be 7 1/2 hours between us.]

When we visit, the days always seem to fly by. I don't get it.
It's like before I even realize it, it's time to head home.
I always cry in the car as I'm leaving. Shh.
[I guess that will go on my pregnancy survey as my most recent cry....]

There is always next time though.
The next time I'll be in Niceville is for Baby Hadley's Sprinkle!
-unless I just go randomly again!- lol
you never know!

NOLA For The Day

You read that title right...
The Turner's headed over to New Orleans for the day today.

We took Caroline to the Audubon Zoo & The Aquarium of the America's

We're only about 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans & it's all interstate..
So I'm thinking this is going to become more regular thing.
Not just for the zoo & aquarium but for all the other great things NOLA has to offer.
[Like Football, Shopping, Gambling & Bourbon Street When I'm Not So Pregnant]
lol ;)

We had a great day though.
We packed our lunch, plenty of snacks and some drinks.
[all about saving a dollar when you can!]
We left Fairhope before 9AM & we were in the zoo before Noon.

Caroline loved it.
She's loved every zoo we've been too but the older she gets the more animated she is about seeing all the different animals.
She was crazy for the monkeys & the flamingos :)
It was adorable.
She made the sound of every animal we saw.
People were getting a kick out of her!
She's always the star of the show lol
After the Zoo we went to the Aquarium across town.
They had so many different exhibits and different themed rooms.
Caroline really liked the sea horses & the otters.
OH, & she loved the frogs [weirdooooo, just kidding].
She kept saying "ribbit, ribbit, ribbit" through the whole exhibit.
It was a productive day, I'm so glad we did it!
It's something I would definitely do again!

Anyone thinking about going to this zoo & aquarium... the only recommendations
that I have would be to:
1) Purchase the combo pack (it will save you money)
2) Purchase your tickets online before you go if possible (it will save you time)
 3) Check New Orleans community calendar for the week your wanting to go (it will save you frustration)

^^we went during Fan Fest & 2 days before the Sugar Bowl.
meaning there were people everywhere!
Still enjoyed it, there were just a ton of people!
Just my 2 cents :)
