Labor & Delivery + The Baby Place

We Had Our Tour Of Labor & Delivery And Of The Baby Place Yesterday!

Needless to say, we were very pleased with everything at the hospital. The staff was wonderful & the facilities were amazing. They have so much to offer. They're very high on security and the amenities are endless.

I think we're both equally excited about delivering Caroline Ann at this hospital.

The woman that did the tour with us was very personable. She works in Labor & Delivery so she had first hand knowledge of the details. She walked us through each step of the process. We were explained how things would go from the moment we walked through the door, to the end of our stay after our lovely baby girl is born.

Is it January yet?!

I'm so ready for our little love to be here. I get more excited by the day. I'm so anxious to meet her and now that it's actually close I'm getting impatient. Fast forward, por favor?

Joseph & I are starting to get more of a plan together as to how things are going to go. (Things that have to be talked about and decided). It's funny, we have both been touching on the subject for a little while now, but now that things are closer we're like, HEY- planning time!

If you look around my house, you'll find list after list after list of important things to complete. (Different lists for different topics). Putting the skills I learned during my days of Event Planning to use- organization fanatic!
So much to do before she gets here!

We made decisions as far as the "birth plan" goes. I'm sorry but I think that concept is silly, you can't plan your birth. You can say little things that you want and don't want, but as for a plan.. Caroline is going to do what she wants, come when she wants and there is nothing I can control about it.

Anyway, I made a birth plan with small requests & preferences that Joseph & I decided on. It opened my eyes to see what people really request during birth. Some of which, we absolutely did not want to take part in. Some things, I didn't even realize were an option to request.

I'm looking forward to this experience. I'm looking forward to our baby girl being born into this world, to being surrounded by family & friends and to having this new bond with my husband.
