Happy 26 Weeks :)

Caroline has been getting some extra zzz's this week.
She's been sleeping until noon. Yes, noon.
She normally sleeps until around 10- but this week, no matter how much noise I make this girl is sleeping in. Noon a few days & half passed noon on the others. Goodness.
I'm not complaining about it- I've been able to get a lot of things done before she gets up.
I get to work extra hours in the morning-workout-shower and get some chores started.
All uninterrupted.
Not to mention, if her body needs the extra rest, then I'll let her have it.
She's sleeping more for a reason :)

Exciting news! Joseph started at his new store today!
If you only knew how exciting this actually is!
He is now.....wait for it......5 minutes from the house!
WHOOP WHOOP!
Which means more sleep for him in the morning..
Coming home for lunch in the afternoons..
& Getting home earlier in the evenings.
We're so happy to have Daddy so close to home!
Talk about simplifying things!

Caroline & Joseph have both been taking advantage of him being home for lunch.
They've been shooting the bow in the backyard some days.
Caroline loves it. (obviously she's not shooting it- but she helps collect the arrows after)
We went to the market Wednesday & got our pumpkins.
One for Daddy.
One for Mommy.
One for Caroline.
& One for baby Hadley.

Caroline had a blast. She picked out her own pumpkin
& her sissy's.
She literally did not want to leave.
We'll be going back soon.
They had quite a bit of things I'd love to check out!
Thursday we did a lot of painting.
[we did a paint project last weekend that came out really well - now we're digging deeper]
We're now getting adventurous with fall colors.
A lot of little paint projects coming up for my little & me.
& I'm probably more excited about it than she is! #sorrynotsorry

Caroline had nursery school on Friday.
I love how much she loves it.
She is so excited to go and gets more excited when she sees all the other kids.
& I love seeing all her artwork hanging around the classroom.
Then when I pick her up, she wants to show me her favorite things.
I melt just watching her enthusiasm.
We had company over the weekend!
Opa, GiGi & Uncle Matt Man came to visit Saturday.

Costume reveal?!
Caroline was a Zebra!
& not just any zebra - the cutest zebra in the world.
[seriously- see for yourself]
We all went to Downtown Fairhope's Trick or Treating.
It was a lot of fun. & there was a lot more community involvement that I expected.
[It's so great to see how involved this town is. It really is such an interesting place to live]
All of the shops & restaurants participated in handing out candy.
There were so many people in costumes- babies, kids & adults a like.
There was also a Car Show going on, so it was cool to see all the old cars on the streets.
Our little Zebra had a blast trick-or-treating. She got the hang of it really quick.
She would say 'tick-teeeet" for trick-or-treat.
She said thank you & of course she said her other favorite:
HAVE A GOOD DAYYYYYY.
#shesprecious
After the festivities we went back to the house for lunch & apps on apps on apps.
Of course- Saturday's are for football. So that's what our day consisted of.
Despite the outcome of my game - I'll still say it:
Go Seminoles
& of course as always - Roll Tide.

I am giving myself & Joseph major props for a fantastic dinner.
The weekends are for grilling.
We always grill on Saturday or Sunday - if not both.
We grilled the most delicious Ribeyes - had Baked Potatoes & a crisp mixed Salad.
Dinner was the.bomb.

Sunday we did house projects. Nothing major - but things that needed to be done.
We finally moved the desk and computer to the master bedroom's "sitting room."
It looks so much better in there.
& the guest room now looks like a whole new room.
I'm very happy with it.
Our phone & internet provider came out & installed our new hookup
so we are up and running and good to go!

More projects to come this upcoming week.
We have one more room to paint gray- the bathroom.
[I don't know why it's taking so long for us to get that done, haha]
We've been procrastinating.

With all the daily activities and fun,
this pregnancy is flying by.
P.S - my sinus infection is gone & is not welcome back anytime soon!

Here's to 26 weeks, y'all! 14 to go!
How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain: 14 pounds
Sleep: I'm sleeping through the night - Joseph says I've started sleeping with my knees up as far as they'll go (aka in his back) haha luckily we have a King bed & he can run from me ;)
Best moment(s) this week: Caroline is kissing my belly more and more frequently without being prompted to. ohemgee.
Miss anything?: Wine. & Beer. I miss drinking (in moderation, don't get all judgey) and watching football. Everyone loves beer and pizza. Wine & Steak. And maybe a little night cap. lol I said don't judge!
Movement: A whole lot of it. You can see my belly move now.
Best thing about this pregnancy: Adding a new member to our family!
Worst thing about this pregnancy: Little bit of back pain (I know I know, pregnancy makes your posture change)
Food cravings: Salad. Green Leafy Salad. With French Dressing. MMMMMM.
Labor Signs: no where close.
Belly Button in or out? In
Last time you cried over something ridiculous: I've been good since that last breakdown that I mentioned. Yay, me!
What I am looking forward to: Carving Pumpkins. Trick-or-Treating this upcoming weekend. Thanksgiving. Christmas. Hadley's baby Sprinkle. Caroline's 2nd Birthday. & the arrival of our 2nd little girl!
Weekly Wisdom: Read labels. If you want Brie, you can have Brie. Just bake that shizz! [You have no idea how happy I am to have Brie back in my life!]

25 Weeks Bumpdate

Is it too early to start a count down? Haha, I only joke. I know it is!
It's only mid October, but we get closer every day :)

I've about finished hanging clothes in Hadley's closet.
It was a project, to say the least but I enjoyed it! & Caroline helped me ;)
PJs & Onsies, Swaddle Blankets and everything else are folded and patiently awaiting their home.
We haven't found the furniture we want in the nursery just yet- but we're on the hunt!
For now the closet will just have to keep collecting everything!
The 25 week check point has been crossed, but this week is off to a rough start.
I went to Urgent Care on Friday- apparently it's just a severe sinus infection.
In my defense, I thought it was the flu- as soon as I'm better, I'll be on my way to getting my flu shot!
[i feel lame, who goes to urgent care with a sinus infection?]
I've never had one - & i hope i never have another!

We had a really busy weekend but due to me feeling under the weather- we cancelled all plans.
Which was really unfortunate. We had an engagement party for friends, a birthday party for a different friend's child's & we were going to the mullet festival with my brother for some good fun and food.
#happypregnancypeople #yesyoureaditcorrectly #mulletfestival

I'm just kidding about the "happy pregnancy" hashtag. It is a great pregnancy, I really can't complain. A little sad about missing all the festivities over the weekend but maybe that was a little sign saying we needed to take the weekend to ourselves and relax as a family. There will come other events.

It was a good weekend regardless.
& it definitely was a great weekend for football I might add.
F L O R I D A S T A T E & A L A B A M A

Looking forward to feeling 100% again
& Looking forward to next weekend's fun :)
#keepingbusy

I love this time of year! & it will continue to get better & better!
How far along? 25 Weeks
Total weight gain: 13 pounds
Sleep: I'm sleeping through the night - in awkward positions - thank goodness my husband understands :)
Best moment(s) this week: All the movement! I just started being able to feel her move a few weeks or so ago & now I can feel it more and more! (I missed that)
Miss anything?: White Wine. Brie. Sushi.
Movement: Lots of it! & I'm loving it.
Best thing about this pregnancy: Adding a new member to our family!
Worst thing about this pregnancy: The adoption of a sinus infection. :( It's no fun.
Food cravings: Fresh green beans. Steamed. With Butter & a lot of ground pepper
Labor Signs: no where close.
Belly Button in or out? In
Last time you cried over something ridiculous: My breakdown at 22 weeks was one to remember (we laugh about it now) - ALL I WANTED was Panera's Broccoli Cheese soup & their Macaroni and cheese. It was pouring down rain and all the way across town. I cried. Joseph offered to take me or to even go get it himself, nope- I cried then because it was too far. He said he'd make me macaroni and cheese & I cried because it wouldn't be white cheddar like Panera's. My poor husband, he's seriously a trooper.
What I am looking forward to: Umm, a lot. Haha, we have so much coming up in the next few months but in short: February - & the new family dynamic.
Weekly Wisdom: Keep yourself busy. Down time for me means eating too much. Which then means extra weight gain which means having to workout twice as much. Plan activities every day to keep yourself going.

Mini Post: #bumpdate

So I realize I haven't posted any bump photos.
Probably due to the fact that the bump is pretty new as of a few weeks ago.
But now there is no hiding it. Hey Haddie

I'll try to remember to post photo's though :)
Black & White is the theme for these bump pictures. #whodoesntlikealittlebandw

Columbus Day

Caroline & I decided to take a little day trip over to Niceville for Columbus Day.
& what a great day to do it!
We went to my mom's house and my brother & dad were both off work for the holiday so we got to see everyone today!

We went to lunch at our favorite Mexican Restaurant on that side of the bridge - Pepito's.
[I think it's Caroline's favorite too - that girl loves some cheese dip & quesadillas

& we went to one of my favorite places to shop in Destin and got me a little more prepared for Joseph's and my 1st Thanksgiving. [this year we're doing a big Thanksgiving at our house] I couldn't be more excited. I'm probably killing Joseph with all my talk about planning it - haha he ever so sweetly reminds me how far away it is. But, we all know a good party takes some planning :)
& that's kinda my thing.

I'm now loaded down with casserole dishes & serving platters - I've got our table's attire for the day and some extremely cute Fall/Thanksgiving decorations.
I'm not done yet but it is a great start!
Couldn't have done it without the help from my mom! (xoxo)
After shopping, we all played outside for awhile.
Caroline loves my mom's backyard.
There are so many pretty flowers (that Caroline loves to help water) #mynaturechild
& she loves playing chase!
So we wore her out before I loaded her up for the journey home.
I'm so thankful to only be living an hour and a half away from the people I love the most.

Couldn't be more blessed to have the family I have.
Blood & In-Laws :)

Holland Farms

We went to Holland Farms today for a little bit of fall festivities.
It was a lot of fun. A lot more people than we expected. And it was a lot hotter than we expected. But all in all it was a success.

Holland Farms has so much to do. They have a corn maze, hay ride, a pumpkin patch, sunflower fields, zip lining, a petting zoo, a playground and some excellent food choices.
Caroline had a blast. As far as she is concerned though- we could've just gone for the animals and she would have been 100% content. [my little girl got my love for animals :) melts my heart].

There were chickens and goats - little calves - horses and miniature ponies. And some people brought their dogs with them- so Caroline had them to look at too!
I did say there were some great food choices - we got their boiled peanuts [regular & cajun, of course]. & we also got their humongous snow cones. #happypreggo Team grape & Blue Raspberry all the way. Delicious.
Downside? My lips turned black - butttttt it was a good laugh :D
I would highly recommend checking this place out. My only suggestion would be to maybe wait until a little bit later in the month of October. It would probably be a little cooler - as well as there might not be SO many people there.
But it was a great day with my baby, MIL & sista's :)
Great way to finish off the weekend!

Mini Post: Pregnancy Update

So today we had a doctor's appointment.
Just a regular check up (check-in)
No ultrasound, no special tests. Just a "hey doc, yep still pregnant" kinda appointment.

Well, one new update - thought I was 22 weeks, well I'm 23 instead. So that's exciting!
One week closer than I thought I was.

First week of February out little one will be here!

Next appointment I get to do the fun glucose test- woohoo.
& we also get to pre-register for our hospital stay!
So that's something to look forward to!

The weeks have been flying by!
We've been so busy I've hardly noticed the time passing so quickly.

Hadley will be here before we know it :)

Mini Post: It's Here!

I get very excited over the little things.
[personally, I think that's a great quality if I do say so myself]

Caroline's Halloween costume has arrived!
I prowled the internet in search for the cutest. costume. ever.

& I found it!
Unfortunately though- when I found it, they didn't have Caroline's size.
Needless to say, I was extremely bummed.

I almost gave up but I continued scouring the internet
& thank goodness I did because
I FINALLY FOUND IT. in her size.

So it has arrived! & It is now in our possession!
I've tried it on her of course.

It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.
[it could be my child though] ;)

I can't wait for Halloween to reveal it!
& take 100's of pictures of her in it lol
