Mini Post: 27 Week Update

Happy 27th week of pregnancy with Hadley Catherine :)

This is the last week of the 2nd trimester! Hollaaaa.
How far along? 27 Weeks
Total weight gain: 21 pounds
Sleep: Best sleep so far during this pregnancy. I go to sleep semi-early (like 10:30) - "saw some logs" (as Joseph would say) for a few hours and wake up @ 7 feeling completely refreshed and ready to start the day! Joseph says I'm being an over achiever. #sorrynotsorry
Best moment(s) this week: I know I've said this in previous posts, but The Movement. Hadley is getting more and more active and she is getting stronger- which means I can now watch my belly move. And she follows my hand around, kicking wherever I'm tickling. <3
Miss anything?: The tasty beverages that I keep mentioning. There have been several occasions where I'm just like 'Glass of Riesling, please' --- in my head, obviously.
Movement: A whole lot of it.
Best thing about this pregnancy: I'm going to continue saying this: Adding a new member to our family!
Worst thing about this pregnancy: The fact that I actually live somewhere were it is going to get a little cold sometimes, and my jackets are PROBABLY going to be a little tight when it gets to that point. haha
Food cravings: Steak is the food of the week! & baked potatoes.
Labor Signs: no where close.
Belly Button in or out? In
Last time you cried over something ridiculous: Haha, I had a melt down Sunday morning before church. My dresses still fit me, they just don't look quite as flattering with a baby belly. Poor Joseph- he was a champ though.
What I am looking forward to: Doctor's appointment on Wednesday! (it's time for the glucose test, which come on people, it's really not.that.bad. it's just really sweet. CHUG IT!)
Weekly Wisdom: Get things done while you have the energy!!

Halloween Week

This last week was full of fun Halloween related activities & of course, H A l l O W E E N :)

[ we carved & painted our pumpkins ]
which was a lot of fun!
Caroline enjoyed painting hers..
Once she got the hang of it, she got out of control - not really
but she kept trying to paint Mommy & Daddy's pumpkin's too.
It was cute how excited she was.
It was a very fun evening activity!
& I think they all came out great.

We decided to keep Hadley's little pumpkin for a Thanksgiving decorations.

We also got a China cabinet on Saturday!
[I know, you don't care]
BUT, I'm seriously ecstatic about it!
I've been on the hunt for the perfect cabinet to display our China, Crystal & Pewter since we moved to Orlando.
& now I finally found it!
[we've seriously been toting around our wedding china & crystal in their original boxes since our wedding- not to mention the China that my Oma passed down to me. -- needless to say I've been dying to take them all out of boxes!]
Yay!
So along with my Noles kicking some butt Saturday morning,
I was washing & putting all our items on display in our cabinet.
#adulting & loving it!
And I must say, everything looks fabulous in their new home!
Saturday night we obviously went Trick-or-Treating with our little Zebra.
[It was Caroline's first time actually Trick-or-Treating. We did it her first Halloween but obviously she just kinda looked around and we got the candy for her considering she couldn't walk yet]
Caroline had a blast.
She was skeptical the first couple houses
but then started running up to doors, knocking & saying "tick-o'tweet'
A D O R A B L E.
Then she was said 'Tank You! Bye-Bye!!'
P E R F E C T.
We had one small incident, which thankfully she didn't let it ruin her night.

We were almost done with maybe 5 or 6 houses left in the neighboorhood
and as we walked up to one door, she knocked.
As the door opens you see the Scream Character & they shout something at her before realizing she was a little kid.
I'm looking at Caroline and I see an expression on her face that I've never seen before.
Her eyes were as wide as they can be and as she is stepping backwards she just lets out this horrific scream .(No Tears, Just A Scream). & then runs back to where Joseph is standing.
The people felt awful you could tell- they apologized and gave us a bunch of candy to give to Caroline.
We consoled her and walked on  to the next house.
Every once in awhile Caroline would turn around and look back ... like she was wondering if "it" was coming after her.
Luckily the next house had some puppies for her to play with.
After that she was OK & went back to her Trick-or-Treating routine.
Unless the walkway to the door had some questionable Halloween decorations-
then she wasn't testing it and turned around and moved on to the next. Haha.
who could blame her.

Sunday we went to church and celebrated All Saints Day.
It was a great service, but then again, I absolutely love our church-
it's always a great service.
Sunday night we got to see Sassy, G & Aunt Kitty
which is always a treat.

Besides that, it was a quiet weekend.
[you'll never find me complaining about one of those]
they're few & far between.
